Gday Guys and Girls, Welcome to the first updated newsletter for 2010. Huey’s back in Padang after our run to Christmas Island and Jakarta. All the foreign flagged boats in Padang had to exit the country due to some new Customs regulations. It seems we’ve got through that little hiccup thanks to the hard work of the crew at AKSSB and are ready to go for another season of tubes and beer swilling.

Mel and myself spent 7 weeks traveling round Oz, spending time down in Victoria, WA and sunny Queensland. Pat the Dog had to stay in Padang and was looked after by Eric and Rikki. We’ve had a couple of staff changes this year with our old mate Arry back after a years absence and Adek has moved on after 4 and a half years of stellar service to the Huey operation. Mel is now on board handling all the ground operations in Padang.

The usual suspects, Am, Khairul and Amon are still on board doing their thing to keep Huey guests stoked and coming back for more.

It’s looking like a great year ahead with a few old faces returning and a whole lot of newcomers as well. There’s still a couple of spots open for 2010 towards the end of the year. We have a full charter available late October and some spare beds late September. We are now taking bookings for 2011 so get in early to secure your dates. Also don’t forget the off season for smaller uncrowded sessions.

The Huey is undergoing a few minor repairs here in Padang with a new Auto Pilot going in plus a few new additions here and there. The Peluru Putih is just about to go back in the water after a 6 month dry out and repair so the fish will have no chance again this year.

If you have any airline ticketing issues whilst traveling through Indo give us a yell and we should be able to sort you out as its usually cheaper to book from inside the country.
